Pisco Punch is probably the best known cocktail that uses gum syrup or
gum arabic in its recipe. Refer to Pisco Latin Lounge in San Francisco or
incaspirits.com for a video on preparation of pisco punch.

Coincidentally I was reorganizing things at home last night, rediscovered the Galliano at the back of the liquor cabinet, and figured I probably hadn't touched it since making this drink.

Guess Galliano goes nicely in the froo-froo creamy concoctions, and they can be nice occasionally.

I stumbled on your blog while researching how to make gum syrup. I manage a bar in Chicago and recently was trying to figure out how to move some Galliano out of stock. I came up with the following:
you can build this in a shaker with ice or in a tom collins then give it a quick shake
1 oz Catdaddy Moonshine (or rye whiskey could work, too)
3/4 oz Galliano
1/2 oz butterscotch liqueur (or syrup)
finish with half and half
serve on the rocks, dust with cinnamon.
Kind of a froo-froo drink that reminded me a little of White Russians. I call it "Crazy Cat Lady."
